The OMNIKEY 5422 Dual Interface Reader is the ultimate combination of contact and contactless technology in a single device. This PC-linked device reads/writes to 13.56 MHz contactless smart cards and virtually to any contact smart card, thereby supporting environments where both contact and contactless smart card technologies are required. It is compatible with standard PC or workstations, as well as with thin and zero clients.
The OMNIKEY 5422 is fully compliant with FIDO2 and NFC standards, enabling secure, passwordless employee authentication to workstations and applications. With FIDO2 support, the reader supports robust multifactor authentication (MFA) by leveraging public key cryptography to enhance security against phishing and credential theft.
